In the recent years of protecting the “0” in boxing, influenced by Floyd Mayweather after finishing his career at 50-0 has been paramount. Not the most “exciting” career to the casual viewer but the greatest skill for skill boxer there has ever been hands down, Floyd has influenced money hungry promoters who would never even think about stepping into a ring to hold back the great fights of our generation for years and years to keep their fighters undefeated and try to say that they have the best guy while rarely putting that statement to the test, fighting no names so they can keep collecting money like they are Calvin Candie from Django Unchained. But there is a new name that has emerged in the boxing game, A Saudi Royal (Turki Alalshikh) has come with his fuck you (oil/blood) money to get the fights that fans have been waiting for years to be made and is throwing out amounts of money that can’t be declined and that the corrupt boxing world can’t say no to. On the other hand he is involved with Dana White's new venture into boxing (the most famous fighter slave trader of them all) who wants to pay boxers the same as UFC fighters in his new league which not a single big name in the sport will entertain that idea as they get paid in one fight what the UFC champs get in their careers which is why every single MMA guy wants to run to boxing and lose a fight for 10’s of millions the second their name gets notable. So where does this lead? Is Turki running the Majors while Dana tries to open a minor league club? Either way as long as the fights get made the fans aren't complaining/ asking the Saudi’s where the money is coming from. At the end of the day fight money is corrupt money, fight money is blood money and fight money SHOULD BE fuck you money.
