The White Sox are officially over .500 for the first time... since March 30, 2023. Sure they're only 1-0, but at least they can say they made it over the .500 mark this season. They beat the Angels 8-1 on opening day, who sent out a position player to pitch during the matchup. Thats right, a position player pitched on opening day.

The Sox hit Mike Trout in the hand during his first at bat of the season. This sent a shiver down the spines of baseball fans all over the world. We just want to see the poor guy play a full season. Trout was unharmed and played the rest of the game even though the Angels looked as bad as they usually do.

As of now the White Sox are tied for the best winning percentage in the league at 1.000. Again it was only game 1, but lets give the fans on the south side of Chicago SOMETHING to brag about.
